This garment was developed as a final project for my Freshman year studio course, where each student was assigned an artist to research and draw inspiration from. Robert Rauschenberg was my artist, and I became deeply interested in his silk screen printed imagery from popular culture. I used this concept to create a neoprene dress with machine embroidered patches of images I chose to represent the 2015-16 year. Patches were embroidered on chiffon, sewn onto the dress, then hand painted over with Dye-na-flow.
